OWON AS101 Oscilloscope - Single Channel - 10MHz
OWON AS101 Oscilloscope - Single Channel - 10MHz
Product code: PP00052571
Product Description
The OWON AS101 is a light and compact single channel oscilloscope with simplified control layout for student operation and lockable triggering feature.
It is a great introductory unit with a useful set of features which has been chosen by our technical specialists as a replacement for the now discontinued Unilab Student Oscilloscope.
Oscilloscope technology is slowly beginning to change from CRT to digital mechanisms as the cathode ray tubes become more difficult to source.
The simple control panel is identical to an analogue oscilloscope allowing for ease of set up, student operation and demonstration use in the classroom. The included quick-start guide provides easy to follow instruction when setting up the Oscilloscope. It enables the teaching of the basics of Oscilloscope use whilst having a useful set of features.
Features:
- High Waveform Capture Rate - 130,000wfms/s provides performance close to an analogue oscilloscope
- Waveform Grayscale - Multi-Level grayscale to display different amplitude components
- Run/Stop Function - Allowing waveform view and analysis.
- Continual adjustment of the sweep rate and vertical sensitivity
- Adjustable trigger level
- Trigger Lock Button - When the Lock button is pressed, the trigger level is automatically maintained at the optimum value, irrespective of the signal amplitude
- Trigger Mode Options - Norm: No trace on screen if there is no signal / Auto: single trace shown on screen, even if there is no signal / TV: used to show TV signals
- External Trigger: X-Axis input terminal (for Lissajous figure experiment)
- Trigger Sources - Int: internal signal as trigger source / Line: selects AC power line as trigger signal / Ext: External signal applied through X-Terminal is used for the external triggering source signal
- Coupling Modes - AC / DC / Ground
Technical Specifications:
- Bandwidth: 10MHz
- Sample Rate: 100MSa/s
- Single Channel
- Waveform Capture Rate: 130,000 wfms/s (which easily captures exceptional and low probability events)
- Screen: 3.7" Coloured LCD
- Overall Dimensions: (W)117mm x (H)192mm x (D)288mm
- Weight: Approx. 1.8kg
The following items are included with the Oscilloscope:
- Power cord
- User Manual / Quick Guide
- Probe
- Probe Adjuster
- Easy to use
- Easy to set up
- Suitable for student use
- Suitable for teacher demonstration
- Annual calibration recommended as per instructions.
- Key Stage 3 Physics - Waves: Frequencies of sound waves, measured in hertz (Hz); echoes, reflection and absorption of sound. Sound produced by vibrations of objects, in loudspeakers, detected by their effects on microphone diaphragm and the ear drum; sound waves are longitudinal. Pressure waves transferring energy; use for cleaning and physiotherapy by ultrasound; waves transferring information for conversion to electrical signals by microphone. Sound needs a medium to travel, the speed of sound in air, in water, in solids.
- Key Stage 4 Physics - Waves: Wave Motion, transverse and longitudinal waves
- Key Stage 4 Physics - Motion and Forces: Estimate speeds encountered in everyday experience (e.g. Speed of Sound).
- Key Stage 5 Physics - Waves
- An excellent offering which replaces the now discontinued Unilab Student Oscilloscope
