Philip Harris has been supplying quality Science education resources in to the UK education market since 1817. Over the past 200 years, quality manufacturing and compliance with relevant safety legislation have always been at the top of our agenda and manufacturing processes.

On Thursday August 30th, CLEAPSS in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive contacted us to advise that two UK based suppliers of gauze matting, had shown traces of Asbestos when tested. Following further investigation, we’re delighted to inform you that our manufacturing partner has confirmed that Philip Harris gauze matting does not include any traces of asbestos fibres. Our manufacturing partner has provided us with certification from a Lab accredited by the IANZ (International Accreditation body of New Zealand) confirming our findings.

Certification is available to any customer on request.
