Possible experiments include:
- The Effect of pH on Protease
- The Effect of temperature on Protease
- GCSE to A-Level Biology: Enzyme Activity
Preparation required:
- 2% Protease SA solution: Add 2ml of Protease SA to 98ml distilled water.
- 1% Protease SA solution: Add 1ml of Protease SA in 99ml distilled water.
- Buffer solutions pH 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11: Dissolve each of the buffer powders in 100ml distilled water. Label appropriately.
- Buffer solution pH 8: Dissolve the buffer powder in 200ml distilled water. Label.
- Exposed film: Cut the film into small pieces about 5mm square.
